Friends of ANCHOR Gala Golf Event

On behalf of Friends of ANCHOR we would like to thank you and all the staff at Inchmarlo who were involved in our event for all the support and assistance we received prior, during and after this year’s very successful event. We are extremely grateful and wanted to let you know that you all helped to raise over £55,000.  I would like to personally thank you for all your help, guidance, advice and support, which was very much appreciated.

Grampian Houston Association Golf Outing

I would like to express my appreciation to all members of your staff for the courteous and efficient assistance you gave us. All our members greatly enjoyed the golf and the meal afterwards and you even managed to arrange fine weather. Well done!

AAA Golf Classic

This day is an important one for AAA as it provides an informal and relaxed environment for our clients as a way to show appreciation for their business and to foster relationships. The comments from our clients included ‘One of the best golf days I have been on’ and ‘I hope to be invited back next year, that was excellent’.  It is with this in mind that I would like to thank you and your very able team in the organisation and running of the day and making it very easy for us to enjoy the experience.  Your staff have yet again displayed a professionalism that should be recognised and appreciated. The attitude, manner and genuine sincerity shown by your team really did make the day go smoothly and enjoyably. We at AAA are delighted to work in partnership with you and Inchmarlo Golf Club for our Golfing Corporate Entertainment.

Meningitis Research Foundation Golf Day - From Bunker to Banquet

I should like to thank you so much for all your help both on the Golf Day and in preparation for it. Alison and I were very impressed by your professionalism and we were very grateful for everything you did.

It was kind of you to run us around to different parts of the course, to allow the car to be put on the course, banners etc. and to allow us to use the Club for the whole event. The meals were much appreciated and I know all the golfers thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We were delighted with the total sum raised of net £53,310, which will be a real contribution to our vital work. Thank you for your contribution to this and we look forward to seeing you again next year.

Torphins Senior Ladies

Just a quick note on behalf of all the senior ladies from Torphins Golf Club to say how much we all enjoyed our outing yesterday to Inchmarlo.

The course was lovely and our supper was excellent. Full marks to the catering staff and bar staff for their good service.

I am sure Inchmarlo will be first choice for our outing next year.

Petrofac ProAm Day

Petrofac Facilities Management Annual Golf Event was held at Inchmarlo Golf Club, played over the excellent 18 hole Lairds Course.  This year it was arranged in conjunction with the PGA, for Scottish Young Professionals to participate.  This was a great highlight for Amateurs who gained great experience and skills from the Professionals.

Fifteen teams took part which included guests and Petrofac employees.  The day started off with warm-up at the Driving Range, with tips from the professionals and then on to the Putting Green.  The weather was absolutely fabulous and the course views were stunning.

The day is always a successful one, and this year was no exception.  The combination of Young Professionals and Amateurs was a great mix.  The weather, the facilities and the condition of the golf course exceptional, and of course the Golf was GREAT.  Looking forward to this year!

Extracts from an article nominating Inchmarlo as one of the best new courses in the UK -

• Almost every hole on the course offers wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.

• With so many memorable holes, it's difficult to single out one.   However, and this is a personal choice, the par five, 7th seems to sum up all the various attractions of playing Inchmarlo in a single hole.   From the tee, the fairway is generously wide and rising.  Your first objective is to get to the top of that rise.  From here you can see the rest of the hole laid out before you as the fairway then falls dramatically away downhill to a green protected by a small pond on the right and two deep bunkers on the left.   The left side of the hole is defined by a stand of huge Scots Pine, with the rolling hills beyond.   Far below and directly ahead lies the green, tempting you to believe that if you can hit your very best 3-wood, you might just be able to carry the pond, skip past the bunkers and reach the putting surface in two.
